When we got to Denver, we were driving around and saw a sign for the zoo, so we decided to head there. It was a very good decision.
All I can say is...Honolulu Zoo ain't got nothing on this zoo! It was huge and there were sooo many animals. All the animals were really clean and healthy looking. Of course, my fave was the zebras :)
This polar bear was pretty awesome too. He was super playful and put on a show for us. He was trying to surf on that little circle thing. It was pretty cute.
The peacock wanted some lovin' and was showing off, but there weren't any females willing to take up his offer. But I got a good picture out of it!
We needed a break since this place was so huge!
After the zoo, we went to CiCi's Pizza for lunch. It was soooo yummy. That was the most pizza I ever ate in one sitting. And there cinnamon rolls...melt in your mouth amazing. All for 5 bucks. I was basically in heaven. Cory went to his interview the next day from 8 am - 3 pm. It was a really long day for him, but were hoping it will all be worth it. As we were leaving the interview, my wish finally came true and SNOW fell from the sky. It only lasted about five minutes but I absolutely loved it. We were supposed to be off to California this same night, but our flight got delayed six hours so we didn't leave Denver until midnight. That was a downer. I couldn't complain for very long, because the next day we were at the happiest place on earth!
The first ride we went on was Space Mountain. I think we rode this 3 or 4 times!
Cory really wanted a picture with Donald Duck, but we couldn't find him and when we finally did, the line was way too long. So he settled for this.
Special edition action figures!
This gigantic cotton candy revamped me for the second half of the day.
I introduced Cory to the goodness of Rainforest Cafe. The food is good, you get really big portions, and the atmosphere is really neat. Like the waitress says "The animals come alive every 15 min. and there's a thunderstorm every 30 min!" Lol.
After dinner, we went back to California Adventure to watch World of Color. It was amazing. The water shoots so high and the colors are absolutely beautiful. We headed back to Disneyland and stayed until midnight. We are hardcore. 8am-midnight one day and 7am to 2pm the next.
Here we are bright and early!
This was Cory's first time experiencing It's A Small World. He really liked it.
We got to get some pictures with Pluto and Minnie. Oh, and we were the only people without kids standing in line to take pictures with the characters.
California Screamin' was another one of our fave rides.
As you can tell from this pic, Tower of Terror is not one of my faves. Definitely fun, but I'll admit it makes me nervous.
You can probably tell that we had A LOT of fun. I'm so glad Cory got to go on this little vacation together. We had a blast and can't wait to go back again. We'll shoot for Disneyworld next time :)
Looks like you guys had lots of fun and I guess the trip did pay off! Congrats to Cory! I still need to update my blog...in time..lol. Miss you! Love you tons!
